Palestine National Authority


The Palestine National Authority joined SWA in 2010. The State of Palestine has a vision of achieving 96% coverage of basic water supply by 2022, while having 96% coverage of safely managed water supply in urban areas by 2022. In terms of sanitation, the state’s goal is to achieve safely managed sanitation service coverage of 80% by 2022 and expects to be open defecation free also by that same year. In addition, the State of Palestine aims for 85% of its population to have access to safe menstrual hygiene management by 2022. The government is represented in SWA by the Palestinian Water Authority.
