The final draft of the National Roadmap on the Elimination of Open Defecation produced and awaiting approval by the National Council on Water Resources. In addition, all the 36 States and FCT have zero drafts of State Roadmap on elimination of open defecation.

Approval of the National Roadmap by the National Council on Water Resources and finalization of States Roadmap on elimination of Open defecation. Dissemination and implementation of the approved Roadmap by all stakeholders.

Highly Influential

The Secretary to the Government of the Federation and secretaries to the state Government will facilitate the setting up of high level Inter Ministerial Committee comprising of Ministers and commissioners of relevant government Ministries at National, and State levels by end of 2014 and coordinate quarterly meetings of the Ministers/ commissioners to ensure effective sector wide coordination, synergy, accountability and transparency in WASH program delivery and monitor implementation of the SWA HLM commitments in the country.
