At the UN GA, Japan pledged to implement ODA in excess of 3 billion USD over the 3 years from 2013 to 2015 towards women’s empowerment and gender-equality. Japan’s ODA on water and sanitation will be delivered in such a way that it will facilitate and promote women’s active role and participation in society.
