SWA’s session at the Water and Health Conference of the University of North Carolina proposes to take the conversation on the SWA Collaborative Behaviours forward. Information on the main discussions and outcomes of the SWA Ministerial Meeting (Addis Ababa, March 2016) will also be shared. The session will include presentations of individual country case studies, in particular the ONEWASH Programme from Ethiopia, as well as the experiences from development partners in putting the Behaviours into practice at national or district level.

The session will provide an opportunity for participants to engage in a dialogue on how organizations can support and engage in country sector strengthening processes, identify the practical obstacles, and ways to tackle them. It will also be a place to discuss ways to improve and achieve effective collaboration by sharing organizational experiences and perspectives. Together, participants will have an open and honest discussion on organizational challenges, internal change processes and key milestones for gradually putting the Collaborative Behaviours into practice.
