Making best use of WASH Finance: a conversation with International Financial Institutions

Monday August 27th 14:00-15:30 - Little Theatre - Folkets Hus (ground floor)
More information

International Finance Institutions (IFIs) are important players in addressing the WASH financing gap, and their finance, used in conjunction with other sources of funds, can catalyze and leverage private capital flows.

The technical assistance offered by development banks is also crucial to help governments build capacity to effectively mix public sector funds, development bank financing and commercial capital, and to make sure that resources are well targeted to reach those most in need and those least able to access services without assistance.

At this interactive session we will examine the role of IFIs in accelerating progress on the SDGs, including increasing financial flows and allowing more effective finance. We will also explore how a global partnership can help optimize and harmonize.
