SWA is pleased to announce that Cesarina Quintana was appointed SWA’s Regional Coordinator - Latin America and Caribbean. Mrs. Quintana will be hosted by the Inter-American Development Bank.

Mrs. Quintana is an economist with long experience in international cooperation, water, and sanitation, who brings to the SWA partnership a long experience in management, monitoring, advocacy, and policy dialogue among different levels of government and a diverse range of stakeholders.

Before joining SWA, Mrs. Quintana worked for the Swiss Development and Cooperation Agency (SDC) as their Latin American Regional Advisor. She was also the Senior National Program Office at SDC’s Global Programs Water Initiatives Hub.

Commenting on the appointment, Catarina de Albuquerque, SWA CEO, said “Latin America has been our fastest-growing region, with nine governments now represented in the partnership. We welcome Cesarina’s knowledge of the region and her vision for how a global partnership like SWA can mobilize more visibility, financing and good governance for the sector.
