At the 2014 HLM, 55 partners made 379 specific commitments relating to the concrete steps they will take to remove barriers to expanded access to sanitation and water services. On this page you can find information about the individual commitments each country has made. The Australian government is developing new quality assurance measures via a benchmarking system, which will monitor performance to ensure that aid programme investments deliver the best value for money.

Global Monitoring

Milestones of Progress:

Australia developed a new perfomance framework "Making Perfomance Count-: enhancing the accountability and effectiveness of Australian aid" that drives links between perfomance and aid funding decisions.


Steps Remaining to Fully Achieve:

Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade issued the report "Performance of Australian Aid 2013-14" in February 2015 and will report annually on progress. WASH investment will be guided by strategy performance frameworks.
